No Affiliation with FIDE
Knight Clock is an independent software application developed by IND Tech Mark. The Application is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs / International Chess Federation), or any regional/national chess federation. All references to "FIDE presets" or "FIDE rules" refer exclusively to the timing configurations described in the official FIDE Handbook, which the app replicates for player convenience.
No Guarantee of Tournament Acceptance
Official rated chess tournaments require the use of physical chess clocks certified by FIDE or local chess federations. The acceptance of mobile-device-based timers is at the absolute discretion of the Chief Arbiter or Tournament Director for each individual event.
IND Tech Mark makes no guarantee that arbiters will permit the use of Knight Clock in any official competition. We strongly advise players to verify clock requirements with tournament organizers prior to using the app in rated matches.
Accuracy & Device Constraints
While Knight Clock uses advanced timing APIs to achieve high accuracy, mobile devices are subject to system interrupts, low battery throttling, incoming phone calls, background app notifications, or OS-level process terminations. The user assumes all risk associated with these events, which may pause, lag, or stop the chess timers.
Third-Party Services Disclaimer
The Application contains integrations with Google Play Services and Google AdMob SDK. We do not control, monitor, or endorse the network parameters, uptime, or data collection scripts operated by these third parties, and we disclaim any liability related to their performance or privacy operations.
